2009 World Games in Kaohsiung(Taiwan, OCAC, macroview)

影片名稱:「2009 World Games in Kaohsiung」 www.mactv.com.tw We built this sports stadium and treat it as a sports park, which means that when there are no games going on, the 12 hectares of open area around can be used. Its an open field that faces the south, allowing winds to blow in and sunshine of at least 5.5 hours a day onto the soccer field grass. We are combining art with technology. On the outside of the building are spiral steel tubes that create the effect of a spiraling body. The roof is made with Taiwanese high-tech solar power panels. The functionality of the stadium is the IAAF approved track and field Level One standard and the FIFA standard soccer field. Another thing thats worth mentioning are the solar panels that are used as the roof. They are power generating panels providing 1.1 million units of electricity, which is enough for a community of 288 households to use for a year. All 8844 pieces of solar panels are made in Taiwan, which gives us a lot of pride.
